Big ideas.
A clearer workspace.

Choose the tool that fits the task. Studio and API work independently, so you can start with either.

01 / REVIEW & COMMIT

SAAY Studio

Bring your repositories, diffs and staging into one desktop Git workspace. Stay close to the code, down to the individual line.

  • Switch between repository tabs
  • Stage individual lines or entire hunks
  • Explore submodules and use the terminal
  • Ask the AI assistant with authorised access
02 / SEND & UNDERSTAND

SAAY API

Turn an endpoint into a repeatable test. Build requests, organise collections and inspect responses without leaving your desktop.

  • Create and save requests in collections
  • Switch context with environment variables
  • Inspect status, headers, body and timing
  • Run trusted Python or JavaScript scripts
From question to confidence

Make the next
step obvious.

A practical rhythm for building and checking your work. These examples illustrate a workflow, rather than an automated connection between the apps.

01

Understand the change

Open your repository in Studio. Read the diff, check the surrounding code and stage exactly what belongs in your commit.

Your first repository →
02

Ask the endpoint

Build a request in API. Choose your environment, send to a service you control and inspect what comes back.

Your first request →
03

Keep it repeatable

Save the request for your next session. Return to Studio, review the final changes and move forward with a deliberate commit.

Good questions

A few things
before you start.

Need something else? Talk to support ↗

Do I need both apps?

No. Each app is independent. Choose Studio for Git work or API for HTTP testing; install both if your workflow needs both.

Do I need to install development runtimes?

Desktop API packages include Python, Qt and the JavaScript runtime. Studio is a native desktop app. Pick a package matching your operating system and processor.

Is AI required to use Studio?

No. Git review and staging work independently. Managed AI requires an authorised SAAY account and an available service. Sign-in starts inside Studio.

Are these stable releases?

Check the label on each download. Preview packages are for testing and may be unsigned; interactive OS acceptance is still pending. Availability is listed per platform.

Where does API store my saved work?

API uses a local SQLite database. Saved credentials are currently not encrypted by the app, so use limited test credentials and protect your device account.
